Exotic Trips Guide

Beautiful, lively and clean, the capital of the French Riviera is one of the most beautiful touristic destinations

that you should absolutely visit.

In this article I share with you my short stay of 3 days in Nice during the month of November.

The city of Nice

The visit began with the main avenue, “Avenue Jean Médecin” which extends over one kilometer, this is where line 1 of the Tram goes, which is the only line for the moment. I can tell you that there are things to see throughout this avenue, among the “Pathé cinema”, the shopping center “Nice étoile”, hundreds of shops and restaurants which are enough to fill your day.

Massena Square

At the end of this avenue, towards the beach you directly come across the main square of the city "Place Massena" in the heart of the city center with its seven statues which light up as soon as it gets dark, its”Fontaine du Soleil” and it’s Paillon walk for me it was one of the most beautiful places in the city.

Promenade des Anglais

Right behind the “Fontaine du Soleil” there is the sea and the most famous avenue of “Nice”, The famous “Promenade des Anglais ", I've always wanted to know why it was called so. I was told that it was and it is still the favorite place of the English people. Moreover you can easily cross them over the sights of the city.

The “Promenade des Anglais” is the ideal place to stroll, walk around and enjoy this panoramic view of the big blue sea.

Le Vieux Nice

Take out your camera and have your own adventure in the heart of old “Nice”! A must, a place where every detail counts just look at how residents dry their clothes or even you can check the colorful facades and narrow streets; it reminded me of the old neighborhood of Lisbon.

Do not miss the "Cours Saleya" a market and a very trendy corner at night, with its dozens of terraces you will surely find the address that suits you the most to eat or drink.

Colline du château

Take height and admire the most beautiful view of Nice from “Colline du château”, and its magnificent park overlooking the harbor and the old town from the top of its 93 meters.

A little further, there is the forest park of Mont Boron; you can also visit the Fort of Mont Alban.

I also spent an afternoon in Monaco for a quick visit.

Principauté de Monaco

Monaco, a symbol of luxury and exception. This principality is located at the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, along the Côte d'Azur, about twenty kilometers eastward Nice and so close to the Italian coast. Monaco makes all her visitors dream!!

Casino Square and the famous Monte Carlo Casino

The Casino Square is the perfect place to witness the broom of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls and other automotive beauties. This place is simply magical, a spirit of luxury reigns all around.

Do not hesitate to visit Monte Carlo Casino, one of the most beautiful places in the world. You can enter the Hall and enjoy a beautiful decor. This mythical place is really “not to miss out” when you visit Monaco.

Port Hercule

Port Hercule is the largest port in Monaco, besides you can even take the boat bus to cross it, it is cheap indeed (€ 1.50 at the distributor and € 2 on the boat).

A stroll on these docks will make you dream of this life of billionaire because you will find there the most beautiful and luxurious yachts of Monte Carlo.

The princely hill and the palace of Monaco

The princely hill is a must. Official residence of the Prince since 1927, the Palace of Monaco overlooks the Mediterranean and perfectly expresses the greatness of the Grimaldi family. From the hill you can take great panoramic pictures on the side of Hercules harbor and its surroundings and the other of the small port of Fontvieille.

So don’t forget your camera!

And if you have time, you can also visit the private collection of old cars of H.S.H. Prince Rainier III, a museum including vehicles from early 1900 until nowadays. And also the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, a huge aquarium bringing together 6000 varieties of the marine world.

I intend to return to Nice when the weather gets a bit warmer, so if you have other places to recommend, do not hesitate to mention them below in the comments.
